About Audience
Audience is an agency for the music, entertainment, and sports industries. We believe we're all in the audience—and that's why it's our name. We advocate for audiences and everyone who makes things for them.
Music, entertainment, and sports are some of the greatest cultural forces we have, but clicks get prioritized over connection, fans are reduced to revenue streams, and creators and industry pros work in environments that prioritize performance at the expense of people. Audience exists to bring the focus back and we help clients do more than meet the market—we help them meet the moment and the people in it.
Our work spans strategy, creative, engagement, and impact, grounded in psychology and backed by years of industry experience. Our role spans consultant, collaborator, and creator working across partnership models.
Audience was founded by The Audience Advocate, Morgan "Marnie" Debnam, a strategist and future psychologist who has spent nearly a decade working globally across music, entertainment, sports, and social impact. She has worked with clients and on teams such as Amazon Music, Twitch, YouTube, TuneCore, Luminate, and the Ad Council. Music, entertainment, and sports have always been part of her life—professionally and personally. She's been in the industry and in the audience, living the work that Audience is built from.
In addition to leading Audience, she is pursuing her PhD in psychology, developing the field of audience psychology—a framework for understanding the human experience of cultural participation, spanning mental health, representation, equity, community, belonging, and wellbeing across audiences and industries. Marnie is also available for speaking engagements, editorial contributions, and advisory support.
